According to Hindu Puranas, Haridwar is the place from four places where Amrit-kalash was the first to trek. Haridwar is a holy city. Which is in Uttarakhand state. In Puranas it is also known as Kapilasthan, Gangdhar, Mayapuri. Its meaning in Hindi – is the gate of Hari. This place is called Pari of Hari in Haridwar where the nectar was dropped. Brahmakund is the most sacred ghat of Hari’s Pauri. It is special here. Aarti, in the evening when the sun rises, thousands of devotees come to join the Ganga’s arti. Ganga is done by the priest there towards the Aarti river. All Pandit Sanskrit mantras are used by the Aarti. After this, all devotees offer flowers to the river by lighting the lamp with flowers. The flames of fire of the arti appearing in Gangajalas look like this. Like hundreds of lamps floating above the Ganges. That scene is very adorable.
Haridwar can be reached by train, ship and bus. Private taxi services, private transport services, are also easily available, which can benefit all tourists. The government has also built a house for the passengers to stay here. You can choose the place of stay according to the budget. Due to being a religious place, it is available only for vegetarian food. There is also an old market here. Which is known as the big market. This market is spread far along the banks of the Ganges. The shops on both sides have shops. Where travelers are supposed to be fair, people keep purchasing goods.
The extent described as about Haridwar is less. The purpose of traveling in Haridwar is to take bath in the Ganges. Therefore, you are requested to cooperate to keep the Ganga clean.
