Blogging is one of the most common income generating business in india these days. Its a great way to earn money if you have a hobby that you are passionate about and you can write well.

But starting a blog is not just about rushing into it. You have to be clear about your niche and create content that is SEO friendly and make sure that the blog is monetised.

1. Affiliate Marketing

Bloggers can also make money by recommending the products and services that their readers use – when a reader clicks on a link on the blogger’s site to buy something, they are sent to the site where the item is sold, and the blogger receives a percentage of the sale.

Although you should promote only products you believe align with your blog, or are useful to readers, you don’t want to be someone who just pimps stuff on the page at the drop of a hat. You’ll lose readers’ trust – and could lose your credibility entirely. If those who visit your blog for news on the latest smartphone gadgets are offered camping kit instead, they are likely to leave unhappy.

The second way they can earn money is by working with advertisers on sponsored posts or reviews. The most successful bloggers are selective about who they work with as a sponsor, and read through products thoroughly before agreeing. They also offer honest opinions on the products they have been given.

2. Sponsored Posts

Bloggers make money through sponsored posts, also known as advertorials. These articles are written to advertise a product or service, and may be created for a company or an individual in exchange for a commission. The post may contain links to the company’s website and products, which can in turn create additional site traffic and sales. Bloggers should disclose when an article is sponsored so as not to mislead readers and to comply with advertising laws.

This is a good way for bloggers to develop revenue through sponsorship on their blog, as their material will reach a wide audience by endorsement of a trusted third-party source, provided they create great, authentic, sponsored content that is appropriate for their readers.

Another way to monetise a blog is by creating and selling digital products. Teachable is a good platform for this, offering a suite of tools for building and marketing courses.

3. AdSense

Blogging – your blog can display ads for which you get paid. You can add the ads manually or sign up for Google AdSense, and they do the work for you, finding the right ads for your site, and then displaying them in a manner that will optimize the income you receive from it. That’s probably the easiest way to monetise your blog. It’s a great starting point too for any blogger.

Google AdSense is the best online advertising program to make money on the web with adsense. By using adsense, you can make money with your blog, website, YouTube videos and more online business. adsense is programmatic advertising. with adsense you can add ads to your site, this ads will show relevant to the content of your blog posts. the more relevant ads are, the more money you can earn. of course you can’t expect to make millions from adsense alone, but it is a great way to make passive income.

4. Sponsored Videos

Some YouTube creators are becoming rather peeved. The popularity of video has driven CPMs (cost per thousand impressions) down for them, even as their reach grows.

Sponsored videos are advertisements consisting of striking visuals and a link to the sponsor’s website. They can be highly lucrative for the blogger, depending on how many times they are viewed and how often the link is clicked.

It’s fun to blog as a hobby and share your passions with the world and meet people who share your interests from all over the globe. But if you want to make a real living from blogging, then you’ll have to put in the time and work to do it right and build a readership and ways to monetize your blog.

5. Sponsored Reviews

This way, the blogger writes the product reviews on his or her blog and gets paid for the post. Some companies actually send their products to bloggers so they can make a review. This is another great way to make money if your blog is popular and attracts readers.

But you’re supposed to disclose if you’re writing a product review: the FTC requires it, and you really want your readers to know that you’re being compensated for creating the content.

Another way to monetise your blog is by selling services from your blog. For instance, you could do one-on-one coaching or run special campaigns for brands. This option is good for bloggers who want to make money through their blog but don’t have the time or experience to manage a full-fledged business. It’s also great if you love blogging and don’t have the time to manage all the day-to-day operations of a business.

6. Sponsored Images

If you can blog, then you should be able to make money. You can create income for yourself and your family by writing and attracting an audience. It might not be a get-rich-quick scheme, but if you want to make money, you’ll need to work at it.

Another way to make money is to write sponsored posts on your blog, like reviews on products, trip reports, event coverage and the like. You can contact brands and companies directly to pitch the idea of how your blog can help them reach a larger number of people.

Blogging is an incredible way to make your mark by sharing what you are passionate about, but the truth is, not all niches are created equally. I wish I had known this is what I was getting into when I started blogging eight years ago. I guess I was naïve. But, if you are considering a blog, know that it will take time to start earning an income. This is why you should stick with topics you are interested in and know well. There are niches that are more competitive than others so you may need to work harder to become ranked higher in search results, which will result in more traffic.
